Wittman & Kala first met on the job at Elias Arts in 2004. Wittman was already firmly footed as a staff composer with accolades including a Cannes Lion for Nike "Tag," Clio, AICP, First Boards Award and multiple other industry nods. Kala really had no idea what she was doing but she pulled it together. She almost took a job at Shutters as a cocktail waitress for God's sake. Just kidding. Kala was steering her entertainment-related experiences at Endeavor Agency and Columbia Records into a more musical production direction.
In 2009 Kala brought her production and management talents to Elias NY taking over as EP and enjoyed steady growth over 5 years. Wittman continued on in LA expanding his creative efforts to include film ("Fighting") and viral videos ("Whole Foods Parking Lot") while continuing to score high profile spots. The accolades continued with write ups in the NY Times, Hollywood Reporter and Wall St. Journal. He was featured in Hyundai ads, appeared on Bloomberg TV, NPR's "All Things Considered," and received honors at the 2012 Webby Awards.
As fate would have it, 2014 became the year when Kala and Wittman finally decided to combine efforts. Between their 25 years experience, relationships and accolades... they are excited to bring top level creative together with seamless production in a way that can stay relevant and exciting in the ever-changing landscape of the industry. Oh, and the name... Kala needed to set up a tax ID pretty quickly for the agency's billing system on our first gig. She went with her 2 dogs. Why not. We decided to stick with it.
